Cherished School Counselling

School Counselling and Autism service

We are an established charity called The Cherished Family Project and we provide Primary school counselling services as well as a specialised autism service, both run within schools. Drawing on our experience of working in a diverse numbers of schools, we offer outstanding services throughout England that are affordable and impactful.

Our projects focus on bringing about positive change for pupils and schools, helping the most vulnerable children integrate, achieve and enjoy primary school education. We have found using the latest outcomes monitoring tools that are services make a lasting impact on the wellbeing of children and their ability to engage educationally.

" The Cherished Family Project has changed the lives of our children and their ability to engage in education"

Pam Wright, Bordesley Village Green School

Our counsellors, therapists and specialised caseworkers work closely with parents and teachers where appropriate to help ensure the effectiveness of the services we deliver. Both our counselling and Autism service offer measurable outcomes which are compiled in a termly report for the school that can be used to justify pupil premium expenditure.

Our charity has a long history of engaging children and families effectively within school settings. Knowing the pressures on teachers and the growing demand for specialised support in schools for Autism, ADHD and mental health difficulties we offer dynamic, individual services for schools. Having qualified teachers on the management team means that we understand schools- that's why we offer packages that are genuinely affordable for every school. Furthermore, we offer 4 hours ( two, two hour sessions) of training for all school staff per year on issues such as attachment, conflict, self care for teachers.

" I can honestly say, the Cherished Project have changed the outlook of our most vulnerable pupils"

Joy Forrest, William Gilpin School

We hope to hear from you soon to have an initial conversation about what we could do for you.
